Mantra Monday: She believed she could so she did.

What’s your mantra this week?

This has been my mantra for the past couple of weeks and this message keeps coming up, almost shouting in my face.  Everywhere I look, there it is.  This message started out cloudy and is becoming clearer and clearer as the days continue forward.

Mantra Monday

Today we went hiking. I feel more grounded when I’m away from the city, people, distractions, and technology. I feel those things can interfere with me being me and seeing what I’m meant to see. They cloud my vision.  They keep me from rising up in my own journey.

We hiked to the top of a small mountain.  The morning started off slow, we were actually running behind (per our desired schedule) and leaving the house later than we would have liked.  We arrived at the trail head, started hiking up and enjoying being on our own path without a lot of other people.  We got a little lost, steered back to the path and continued up.  As we got further along the path, the sun came out, the clouds started to disappear and miraculous views and signs of nature were all around us.

When we got to the top of the mountain, it was beautiful. I could see far and wide, beauty around every corner: mountains, trees, lakes, canals, and green everywhere.

The clouds broke free in the afternoon and calmness and peace settled into my mind.

She believed she could so she did.

After my hike, upon settling in at home, I realized that this hike is symbolic of my personal journey.  When you disconnect, everything starts to connect.  When the clouds move out, you can see more clearly.  You can see what is around you, the beauty of life and your unique path and calling.  Distractions can only be removed when you’re willing to step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary.

The unknown becomes known when you are ready to start trusting in yourself.

It is all starting to fall into place.

For me, the believing part is the hardest.  But, what I learned today is that if you trust in YOUR journey and go at your own pace, take everything one step at a time, those clouds will disappear as you get closer to the top (your next destination) so you can see what beauty and opportunities are in front of you.  Believe they are there, because they are.

She believed she could so she did.

I believe. I can see.  I can do it.  I am doing.
